Friday Follow January 20, 2012

I don’t have GFC on my blog but I do feedburner, you can follow via email, twitter, or facebook.

Q: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to get your hands on any particular book?

I haven’t really done anything too crazy to get my hands on a book.  I have paid a considerable amount of money to have a couple of new releases in my hands on release day.  That’s about it.  There aren’t many author visits that happen in my area.

Friday Follow ~ The Unread Books edition

To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

  1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
  2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
  3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
  5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
  7. If you’re new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

So now for this weeks question:

Q: Go count the number of unread books sitting on your shelf. How many?

I lost count at 200 and that’s just physical books, that doesn’t even include the books on my nook.  Add another 217 if you want to include those into the total too. I’m hoping that with all the reading challenges I’m participating in this year that I can knock that number down some. How about you?  What’s your magic number?

Friday Follow #1

Q: It’s Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. so we want to know what you are Thankful for – blogging related of course! Who has helped you out along the way? What books are you thankful for reading?

NOTE: I don’t have GFC but if your interested in following my blog there is a “Follow via Email” button at the top of my sidebar, there is also google reader and there is also a “Follow” at the very top of the page too.

I’m thankful that I’m blogging on a format that I truly enjoy being on.  Blogger was nice but I like more things about wordpress.  I’m also thankful for @parajunkee for creating Book Blogging 101 and just being awesome, @TheBookVixen for just being awesome, and a host more wonderful book bloggers, there are just too many to mention and not turn this post into a novel. The books that I’m most thankful for reading this year are Lorelei James’ Rough Rider series, Jaci Burton’s Play by Play series, all things Linda Lael Miller and all things Nora Roberts.  I’m also thankful that I found the Mystery/Thriller genre’s, I’m finding that I enjoy them very much.
